Sorry for late reply guys, i've been in the high country, touring in the LX. This fellow was an old man in my local area of Alpine Victoria in Australia.

Just find a good leather painter. Request that he match the colour correctly, mask for overspray. Use a decent amount of filler and use 4 coats of sealer. Should'nt run you more than $300-350 max.
