Default 2001 lx470 battery issue

I sold my 2009 armada and bought 2001 lx470 truck after reading about its reliability at #1.
it has 187k miles- no check engine lights etc.

drove home with it. next day morning it needed jump start- i did.
repeated same for 2 more days- then got new battery istalled at local pepboys.

next day same issue- went back to pepboys and they put another new battery.

today again same issue.- does any one know why battery draining?
would appreciate simple answer rather than- a long viewpoints and comments.

I'll try to keep it simple, sending you a link for more info might take too much time.

There's always a small current drain with the truck turned off to keep your audio and climate settings live, among other things. There should be no problems restarting normally after a month or 2.

You've got something else in the truck draining more than normal current...get it to a good indy shop and have them check for "parasitic drain above normal" and fix the issue.

Hope this is brief enough...

I think you'll enjoy your LX. I bought ours with 90K in 2009, it's been serviced regularly and so far we've only paid for normal wear and tear stuff and fluids.

More info here...ih8mud.com 100 Series Tech Forum Signing up and searching for your issue should get you lots more info.
