Hi - I'm hoping someone can help out here. I have a 98 LX470. The engine misfires but only after it warms up and only if it is in gear. After I begin to drive it takes about 10 minutes for the misfiring to start. Once it starts it will misfire at idle and also while driving but only in low gears. It does not appear to misfire in higher gears. We are getting no CEL. I'm told by my mechanic there are no codes. When it begins to misfire we can put it either in park or neutral and the misfiring immediately stops. This misfiring has been happening for some time. I've been hoping for the CEL to come on so we can get some codes. If I recall correctly the misfiring began shortly after the last tune up. I have recently replaced the spark plugs, air filter, and MAF sensor. I've inspected the vacuum lines. Don't see anything. I've cleaned the Throttle Body, no improvement. I have a new battery and new alternator - again no changes.
