I just purchased a 99 LX 470 and have a few questions for you all. First...if you have the gold package, does it come direct from the factory? I was told it is aftermarket and some is fading out and I would like to get it redone. Any idea on cost? Secondly...the wheels are chrome, is this an available option in 99, or was that an aftermarket too? They are ????? don't know what to call it. The best description I can come up with....or what I think happened, is that someone used a cleaner that was not to be used on chrome and they are bubbling??? or something. Sorry I do not know what to call that. Is there anything I can do to make that look good? Is there such thing as rechroming? If so, what cost am I looking at? Would it be cheaper to just get new wheels?

and I don't think it came from the factory. Somebody though it was cool (I got mine when it was one-year old). I don't think it was a good idea. And yes, the emblems are faiding. I have no clue how much will it cost to replace them, but I could not care less Sorry, can't really help you hear.

For the wheels - I don't believe it came in chrome in 99, thought I always can be mistaken. But I bet it's aftermarket.

ypu don't have to replace them their are shops that will touch them up they will look better than new

 

Do you meen the emblems or wheels? I got the emblems taken care of...now I just have the pitted wheels to figure out what to do with.
