A/c anomaly?
LX470, nearly 200,000 miles, no mods. A/C makes a high pitched whining sound in hot humid conditions, which is frequent here in East Texas. Dealer has no clue. Anyone else experience this? I plan on driving it FOREVER! Can't imagine anything else.

Hello from Oceanside, CA
Mine is 2000 Gold/tan combo with 140k miles, a Toyota dealer replaced the timing belt at 90k miles. I personally replaced the wheel bearings, rotors, brake pads at 95k, then I replaced the starter at 120k. I replaced the Nakamichi recently with dvd/bluetooth deck because I got tired of just having an AM/FM, see pics. I have this vehicle for about a decade now and it's still smooth and I enjoy driving it. I lost my HS just recently from a texter who totalled it, so I am back with my favorite ride.

Had my 07 since new, now has 55k on it. Runs like new. Will keep forever unless life throws a big wrench into that plan. Then it would be at least a long time with no plans to replace it with the much more expensive newer version until nessesary for reliability.

Recently purchased a 2003 LX470 blizzard pearl with grey int. Love it. I'm hoping to have it for a very long time. It currently has a 108,000 miles and it still looks brand new. No mod all original.

Here is mine. A 2006 with 35k Miles (Black Onyx)- Mint condition. When I was shopping for it about 8 months ago, I was particularly looking for the 2006 Model year. This is due to addition of variable valve timing technology and the 40 horsepower increase as compared to its predecessors.
Reliability.........Definitely unquestionable.
Also, it has unsurpassed rugged terrain and excellent off-road ability without compromising its luxury top tier sedan like ride quality.
What can I say? This is without doubt the BEST SUV on the planet. PERIOD!!!

Greetings! I was approaching 300,000 miles in my '99 Land Cruiser until some one going in the opposite direction on the Golden Gate bridge approach lost a wheel....and it hit me square in the license plate. It was a total. Spent 6 weeks looking for a replacement and decided on a 2003 mint condition LX470, black with cobalt blue trim, tan interior. It's a bit strange being in such luxury and elegance, but I know I'll get used to it! Love the interior appointments, so nice. Ride is like butter, have not had the chance to take it off road yet, but as my LC did, it powers through snow. Not sure about mods, I am not crazy about the trailer hitch being contained in the bumper, and was wondering if a below the bumper frame hitch can be mounted to replace it?
