I just heard there will be a new Lexus SUV based on the Toyota Seqoia. It will have lexus' new 5.4 liter V8. It will come out when the Seqoia is ready for re-design. Probably in 2004 or 05. The new 470 may also have this engine. But I am not sure. It was in MotorTrend by the way. I'll attach the article when I am not lazy.

 

Can I get a Lexus coupe please? ANOTHER truck, wow. Where would it go? Bigger than the LX 470, but less $$$$. Huh, we ALL know it would sell like hotcakes.

 

Excellent! Now, if I can just get my 1993 Explorer with 164k miles on it to hold up till the VX540 is produced, that'll be awesome. If my wife and I cannot wait, looks like I'm going to go with the LX470 and add the supercharger when, excuse me IF, that damn thing ever makes it through production! Good thing I am still at least a year away from making a vehicle purchase, this way I can follow the developments as they come out.

Is the VX540 going to be slotted behind the LX470 (or LX540 as it will be known when the VX comes out) or in front of it as "Premium Luxury SUV?"

Okay, I alsohave heard Toyota will offer a 5.4 liter in the TUndra and Sequioa soon. Seems Toyota is not happy with it's truck marketshare and wants MORE and know now that the USA wants bigger engines PERIOD. This engine may propel a VX 540 which would be a Lexus badged Sequioa.
