I've had problems with my red top optima in my GS so I would not recommend it. My LX needs a battery change. It doesn't start the same as it use to, but we are still on the original battery so I figured it's about that time.

Are Lexus Batteries any good
Just moved from Westchester New York to Palm Beach Florida after the 4 months I have been here my interstate battery went. I think I got Apx. 5 years out of it. In New York I got 61/2 to 7 years out of a top quality battery. The heat kills car batteries here. I have a 2004 Lexus LS 430. They say your lucky if you get 2 or 3 years out of a top quality battery here. Suppliers here are aware of this and they all charge Apx. double what the same battery in New York would cost. With the cost being so high on all brands with installation I chose to spend an extra $25 and get a Lexus dealer battery with a 2 year full refund guarantee and a 50 % for the next two years and a 35% refund thereafter for a period of 84 months. In the past I have enjoyed the quality of having things replaced with genuine Lexus parts instead of the aftermarket stuff. Is it the same with the Lexus battery. How does the Lexus battery stack up to the other brands of batteries. Thanks
