I have a 99 LX470. I have had no issues with the vehicle or a/c until now. I press the rear a/c button and the light nor the power comes on. I also went to the rear control and it does not work either. Any suggestions before I take it to a mechanic.

Have you gone through all the normal stuff like the fuses or anything like that? Always look for something simple first.

 

definately go check the fuses first and foremost.

At the NELOC meet this weekend nobody could figure out why someones front parking lights werent working and the back ones. Guy was like ok i gota get this home before dark. I was like hey check the fuse. Sure enough a nice little 10A mini fuse was blown. Guy got to stick around till after dark sicne we fixed that!

 

I checked the fuses under the dash as well as the inside. Both are fine.
