Can the LX470 be driven forward or in reverse with the AHC at its lowest setting?
I'm hoping you folks can help me out. My question is whether or not I can put the LX470 in Park while outside my garage door, lower the AHC to the Load level, then put the LX470 in gear and drive it the 15 feet into my garage with a low hanging door. The clearance is too low to allow the vehicle at its normal height into the garage. Or will me putting the rig in gear raise the AHC to its normal level?
Thanks for your time!

I beleive you have about 60 seconds in low mode before it goes back to normal.
There is no way for it to stay in low when in gear. It makes perfect sense to allow it to be in low but I guess the Lexus engineers didn't design it to be used for a moving car.

Thanks roberttran! One quick follow-up: So I assume if I move it for 25 seconds and then throw it back into Park, it'll stay at its lowest setting while parked? It would kind of defeat the purpose if it raised itself into the garage door while parked.

It's interesting seeing the Land Cruisers and LX's over here. They don't have Lexus here in Vietnam so the ones you see are imported from Australia.

I put my 99 in the low setting and it stays there whether I am driving or not, as long as I don't go over 19 mph. I do this every day when I go to work to park in a cubby hole underneath a ramp, dont want door dings you know!

the lx will stay in the "low" or "high" setting as long as you do not exceed 15 mph. It is in you manual. I put mine in gear all the time and it does not move until i exceed 15mph
