Looking for coilovers for second-gen LS. Tein or JIC or whatever you might have. Let's talk...

Call Todd at TM Engineering.

He has/had a set of Tein CS's available last time I saw him.

(Good that you buy them...they have been tempting me.)

Good deal. Now my wallet is safe.

Will be looking forward to a pic when you get them installed.

That's sick!

How's the ride at that height? What settings did you dial in?
What wheel and size are those?

(I really wish I didn't see this...I thought I was safe now that the Teins were gone but I dunno now. )

I have the front at about 3" lower than stock and rears were about 2.25" lower than stock. The rebound/compression settings are set at maximum stiffness. I want to get used to it this way first, then I am going to raise it up a little and dial in some softness... then it will feel luxurious again. Right now it is firm to the point of almost being a little too bouncy on the freeway or over large bumps.

The wheels are 19x8.5 +38 in the front with 245/45-19 and the rears are 19x8.5 +38 with 275x30-19.

Haha.... well, thanks for pointing me to them! I didn't want to wait for a set to come from Japan!

Your car looks great!! I also have the Teins and think they "make the car". I have seen the BBS type wheels on other LSs and they didn't look so good! Good job!

Got them last summer and I think it was about 1300. Todd at TM Engineering got them for me. Be fore-warned though, unless someone has a set on hand, you will wait several weeks for them to come from Japan. That is the only downside to this otherwise outstanding system.

The EDFC is also a good choice to fine tune the level of dampening. Check Carson Toyota:

For the first gen LS, I dunno what is available, might contact JIC and see what is possible.

OK guys.... anyone need these Tein Type-CS coilovers for their 95-00? Selling the car soon and I am going to need to buy some new Teins for an SC430. Let me know if you are interested... there are only prolly 15k on them and they are all easy miles (like anyone races an LS400!)
