Aftermarket Amp install + Wiring
the tools you will need to accomplish this task

the amp kit i got off amazon for $30bucks and loc for $11bucks

your entry position

remove this thing (alarm horn?) unless you have girly hands

punch through here.. make sure you tape the tip of the screwdriver really well or there will be a series of f bombs throughout the night

coming out from the other side of firewall

pull power wire through without the screwdriver of course

pull up... they are held in place by clips

do the same thing and run the wire to the rear

yank up... this might take several tries unless you are muscular like me

10mm bolt... 2 on each side

lift up the head rest... theres a 10mm bolt behind the tab... you will need a deep socket for this... 3 bolts total

these two plastic little pieces are the devil but not for me since im muscular

find a hole on the deck that goes through trunk

night has fallen... getting lazy with pics... no pics of getting to the amp from trunk upholstery... if you dont know how then i dont know how you even made it this far

red arrow pointing to the middle clip... thats your subwoofer wires
yellow = right positive
black = right negative
green = left positive
blue = left negative

all 4 wires tapped using your loc

blue arrow 3rd clip is where you are going to tap for the remote wire... its the gray wire next to the pink wire

hook everything up and cross fingers

SUCCESS!!!
time it took 5hrs... didnt know what i was doing... looking for tools and info can be challenging
hope this answers all the questions about which wires to tap

You're the ***** man. Nice job. Your commentary is actually what got me through it! I plan on doing similar, but considering using an audiocontrol LOC so I can get full range signal.. w/ ppi amp. What sub you using?
running 2 10s RE subs that i got off of craigslist for $100 with ported box... hits pretty hard... according to my brother he said it hits harder than his single 12 JL w3 w/ JL 500 mono amp
Honestly the amp is great for the price, I paid like $150 for mine brand new, best part is it comes with a bass controller.
But what I mean is 'dirty bass' is it can be sort of rough around the edges, not very clear all the time , in some songs with a lot of bass it is can be very distorted.
I want to either sell my whole set up for a single JL or at least sell my amp for a Rockford fosgate.
back a while ago i did that for fun for other people
2000 watt amps to a pair of 12" subs anther 1k for the cabin speakers.
but as cars stated to integrate the audio system more and more i got leery about tearing into stuff.
some cars have to have the stock head unit relocated to the trunk as its used by the computer to relay messages.
I have nothing but respect for you. you were willing to tear into this rolling computer and go for it.
well done.

i might add. rubber gromets are availabe at the local parts place. this allows you to pick a spot and drill a hole where its suits you. just make sure there isnt a computer on the other side.
Walmart used to have the best priced installation kits. I would save 10 or 15 bucks over my wholesalers.

Holy cow. Great job on the write up! Thanks for letting me know there's NO WAY I am going to even think about upgrading the amp! LOL.. You have much more patience than I do! Looking forward to hearing about the results. Let us know how many total hours It took!
In all fairness this look like maximum 3-4 hours work? I dont think it will take long as long as you got everything ready to work with and you have some experience with doing these things before.
