Default Sport rims....Lol, this is dedication....

I have a concierge service with one of my credit cards calling every junk yard in the nation looking for the 18s off of a totaled LS, and I've also emailed every dealership in the area that is selling one, offering to pay them the commission they'd make off of it if they'll let me swap my 17s out.

I refuse to pay $300+ per rim for something that was offered as a $200 option...

Sorry if this is OT lol....

I just sold my used OEM 18s, stone chips and all, for $ 800

For an extra $ 400, I'd just buy new ones, lol

Yeah, but you have to factor tires and all that crap into it....That's another 800 at least.

And the $300 ones I'm talking about are imitation ones....I know they look just the same, but I want OEM stuff on my car.....imitation crap on a 60,000 Lexus? Completely contradicts the meaning of the car.

I think OEM new dealer ones are $6-800.

If only it would let me post in the FS section (it won't because I'm still new)!!

The imitation wheels may not be something you'd want, but they are perfectly fine.
Lots of people have them and have had no problems.

There are lots of aftermarket wheels that are much nicer than the Lexus 18s that you may be able to find used close to you. Just make sure they fit over the large front brake calipers.

I am pretty sure you can buy in the Club Lexus classifieds if you are new, you just can't sell without a vouch.

I am looking for a set of aftermarket 17s ....not easy to find 17s that fit the LS430

I didn't mean to sound snooty; it's just, to me, that's like getting decked out in an Armani suit for your wedding and then topping it off with a fake Rolex....not my style....I probably would take a look at them if people are satisfied, but they are not exactly cheap for "imitation". I'm just hoping I can locate some OEM ones from a junkyard somewhere....or if I can bribe the right person the right amount somewhere where they are selling an LS with those rims....

I was considering some aftermarket rims, but honestly these days most aftermarket rims I see are a bit too flashy for my tastes. I'd love to see some more pictures of LSs with rims. Most I see are going for the "slammed" look, which isn't my style either.

And BTW I did notice (today actually, lol) that the car does have rather large brake calipers...they hardly clear my stock 17s!!!!

The reality of it is this, the 18" wheels that you seek are tops on everyones list including myself. Its becoming harder & harder to locate a nice set of highly desirable wheels for a 6-8 year old vehicle @ a good price. You have every right to want "OEM stuff" on your vehicle and I hope you find them but again EVERYBODY is looking for the very few sets that are out there & at a good price in nice condtion.

I did find a link for those that will consider after market replicas. I never used this company & I'm not endorsing them, just passing on information.http://www.stockwheelsolutions.com/w...llander-74179/

One more comment. With it being a 2004 it's no longer a $60k car. Either you can search high and low & more than likely pay higher prices for OEM or check the forum for feedback on aftermarket alternatives for you to "consider". Good Luck!

These are a rare item. LS430 owners who swap out wheels away from OEM 18's are a miniscule percentage of all LS430 owners. Couple that with being able to identify any OEM 18's for sale in the open market, and that's the situation that you're currently in.

You can either continue to search high and low for months on end for that needle in the haystack or you can pay the premium at the dealership...or you can get the replicas.

Those I would actually consider....for some reason I have searched high and low, but never seen rims for that cheap. I was finding imitations for roughly the same price as OEMs. They seem to look pretty much identical; are they? I mean, rims are rims, right? Or wrong?

Here's another website, not sure if they're the same company with different websites.

If you don't want to pay for these, then stop looking, this is a good deal for oem wheels.
