Default NAV screen cleaning q's

guys,

i have the following question:

1. how do you clean the NAV's screen?

2. is it safe to use glass/window cleaner to clean the residues from 'temporary tag' on the rear windshield? (the temporary tag came with adhesives that are supposed to be placed on the rear windshield)

3. is it common to have the leather seating surface to kind of lift up (on the front seats) or in another word doesn't stay flat (it tends to be raised up)?

thanks!

1. NAV screen--DO NOT use any chemical whatsoever on the NAV screen. Best bet is to use a very fine cloth, such as a glasses lens cleaning cloth to wipe off the residue.

2. I'm not sure what the 'temporary tag' is...what does it say?

3. You mean the leather seating surface changes shape because of people's seating habits? I guess...although I haven't noticed much change.

The LS manual warns against organic-based solvents...also too much rubbing during cleaning can cause discoloration...

Take my suggestions under advisement, I am not responsible for any damage to your car!!! My rule of thumb--be cautious.

Go to your local electronics joint and get some LCD screen cleaning pads. Fry's has them in a box of ten in little packs. They have LCD safe alcohol that will cut through the finger grease.

Yes, just be careful not to damage the defrosters. If it is real bad and you DO NOT have tinting- use a tiny but of lighter fluid. It will dissolve the adhesive.

Yes- it is normal for Lexus leather- that is the way it is designed. It allows for the leather to "give" more so that it doesn't have a trampoline effect and ruin the comfort. Imagine cheap leather seats that are stretched tight- the are quite often hard as rocks.

thanks
