I can't find anyone who can tell me what ADUS or other bushing I can get for the rear knuckle... I've emailed this pic around w/o any luck. Any ideas ?
I have found a couple of people of sell ADUS bushings but can't figure out which one I need.
(90-94) ADUS 583
Rear Axle Carrier
& Lateral Arm Kit
Kits Per Car = 2 http://www.foreignautosalvage.com/bushings.htme This is the bush you want. For some reason they only sell the inner and outer kit as one. I found i only needed the outer bush. The old bush will push out with a large socket and large bearing pushing tool. Hope this helps. I gather you have changed the carrier bush. Also you will need to align the rear after as mine was out 15 degrees.
thanks, I looked that that one. Does it press into the knuckle (#2 in my pic) ?
the only other bush I replaced in the rear so far is #9 in my pic - rear carrier bush ? I just ordered bushing #10 from the dealer.
Adus is calling it the "Rear Axle Carrier & lateral arm kit" so I think that takes care of both ends so maybe I don't need #10 from the dealer after all.
So, I guess my question is...
the "Rear Axle carrier" the same as the "Knuckle" in my pic ?
^Has the tutorial on how to replace the bushings....fairly simple if you have a 33mm punch...I plan on doing these when I change my rotors/pads, might as well while I'm in there.
I'm 99% sure that is what you're looking for...maybe one of the Lexperts can chime in.
I think that's a different one, #9 in the pic (diff ADUS # too)
I need that one that presses into the knuckle # 3 in the pic. Hoping that's the ADUS #583 which looks like it covers both ends of the control arm (arm and knuckle)...
this gets confusing with the different names people use for each component. I think I might take my diagram and put the ADUS parts numbers next to each part which will help everyone...
Last one. Hope you all found these helpfull. I think people tend to forget this rear joint and test it. After doing both sides i found that the car felt a lot tighter and well worth doing.
That's more than I bargained for and very much appreciated. It's times like this when you realize how amazing the internet really is when I'm getting
help 10,000 miles away !
Oh, I see....So there's 2 RAC bushings on both sides..1 on #9 and 1 on #10...I am ordering 2 ADUS 583 right now from l-tuned parts...thanks for the help Aussi!! I'll be changing these out when I do my brakes next week.
