Turbo lag

Default Turbo lag

Even in sport+ there is still a lag. Any fixes? Maybe the IS500 would be better? I asked the technician about it at my last service and he said it’s normal.

I dunno but yeah it's normal. I hate turbo powered vehicles, it's not my first. Overall there is gobs of power but off the line sucks. Electrification can't come soon enough for all these brands that use smaller turbo engines for fuel economy & emissions reasons.

buy a bmw with inline 6 turbo if long term ownership over 100k is not your thing

I had the n20 for 6 years and not only is lag almost non existent the motors pull and with linear power

the b58 6 cylinder that's uses even in the Toyota supra is the best motor for performance/gas mpg and reliability under 100k mileage today.
the Mercedes new inline 6 with electric motor added for off the line is also best in class... so all turbos don't suck, lexus just failed with this application for creating a complicated powertrain with sub par economy with mpg in city driving

I owned a GT53. It was a beast off the line with the electric motor. I've also owned a X6 with the 3.5 and the lag was minimal.
