Default Avoid buying 2018 MY...?

Hello all! Am considering 5th GEN LS, but am sensing a buzz that 1st year cars may be more troublesome than ‘19 or ‘20 MY models. Your experience...advice?

I put about 15k miles on mine. Only problem I had was a busted seat massage and couple of intermittent rattles.

Later cars get Apple Car Play -- you might wanna check the later model years.

No problems with my 2018. Dealer installed car play at no charge. I did change out the run flats though. Mine is AWD which I have never had before and I notice a little more vibration in the steering than my previous 2013 and 2007, but used to it now after 10k miles of driving

I've had my fully loaded 2018 LS since May 2018. No problem at all so far, except for the run-flat recall. Dealer replaced them at about 23K miles. Still driving and feeling like a new car, just as my previous 3 LS's have done before.

There were two recalls, one for the runflats on some cars and the second for the fuel pump. I have an August 2018 built car and I am having the fuel pump recall work being done now. Other than that there has been no real issue with the car. There was also an issue with the transmission being jerky in gears 1 and 2 when the car was cold. That was fixed with a firmware update.

Other that what I've listed above, I've had no issues with the car.
