Hey guys, I am in the market for a new LS. I currently own a 19 ES and LS430. Now that it is rainy season, I am noticing that my LS has a rain repellent windshield, a very nice feature that I wish my new ES had. So I am wondering if the new LS also has this feature and if it’s standard, or part of an all weather package maybe? Thanks for your help!

 

I've never heard of that feature on the LS. If it doesn't have it, you could just use rain-x maybe?

 

No, it doesn't have a repellent windshield. The side windows are repellent, but not the windshield. They just put a Rain-x type application on it.

 

My LS500 has automatic wipers that come on when the windshield gets wet. Does a nice job, Windshield gets wax on it every time I go thru the car wash, so acts pretty well in wet weather. Bugs are a different matter, Hate them on the car. Mine came with a clear bug shield on the hood. Funny thing is the Large emblem on the front where the "L" happens to be, seems to draw the most and largest of the bugs.

Similar to you, I had a 2018 ES350, 6000 miles. ,,,, Maybe paid too much but, I really was not satisfied with the ES ride. Because I a 2006 LS before.

 

You sure you meant rain repellent or did you mean rain sensing? As others have stated the front windshield is not coated as I had mine coated after I purchased.

 

Isn't is super easy to do in 30 seconds with a bottle of RainX from WalMArt?
