Mercedes S class is getting 4 cylinders engine. BMW 7 series already has 4 cylinders. I highly doubt v8 is coming back to the LS.

I read this thread and what comes to mind, is every time I see the new LS 500 in showrooms and have driven one it comes down to the same thing

1) I like my current LS for the reason I bought it and the new one went too drastic with changes to the customer base
2) Like Steve said I feel claustrophobic in the car when I sit in it
3) the styling in and out is nice but the car is just off in some way
4) This may be the most important point after 10 years between model changes and that or more of time in development that's the best they could do released in 2018-19, then a year later
they tweak the suspension and run flats because of compliants

totally unacceptable,

I'd say a pretty big refresh is coming next year for '21. Can't really do anything about the small interior but other things they can address, I guess.

Think how frumpy the '01-03 430s were, the '04 facelift was a huuuuuge improvement.

I hope you’re right. It still boggles my mind that some manager got paid big bucks to sit in the back seat, see that there was no toe space, no head space and in non executive trim, no thigh support and said “ yup it’s good to go. Our customers will love a longer more cramped car”. I mean, really???!!😳

Yeah, I mean IDK if they can do anything about the space. But they need to update the infotainment and styling. A V8 is just a fantasy these days, which really sucks.

The 2004 LS430 refresh was mainly a dramatic improvement in looks--space inside wasn't ever an issue.

I bet the refresh will have the same infotainment system as the new rx.

I agree 100%. For me you can also add the big box behind the rear view mirror that with the angle of the windshield really block a lot of the view, and no pass thru.
