Default Automatic Adjustment for Daylight Saving Time?

I read various forum threads about this, and it seems like Lexus vehicles do not automatically adjust for DST. However, a few threads suggested that newer Lexus vehicles do. Does the LS 500 automatically adjust for DST? Mine didn't, and I had to go into settings to toggle the DST option and have the time move back by an hour (same as what I did on my previous Lexus vehicles).

The 2018 LS500 adjustment is still manual, as it was on my previous 4 LS's.

It's hard to understand (and believe) how Lexus cannot automate this change. I adjusted manually on my car yesterday and was wondering how can Lexus screw up such a simple thing to automate.

I don't think it's difficult at all to understand. Regions participating in Daylight Saving Time are constantly changing. It wasn't a screw up, it was a design choice.

Automatic DST adjustment is available in Audi, BMW and Acura. It is not implemented in Mercedes, Porsche, Lexus, and many other makes.

Thanks! It just feels weird for me that my Internet connected appliances adjust themselves, but the car still does not.
