I also watched that, only thing is the S Class has never been known as a super handling machine, and the review was all about handling.

Excited to see the LS F-Sport performing as well as it did in the handling tests. Should be a very engaging car to drive which is commendable at its size. Really getting used to the aggressive styling of the F-Sport, I find it quite attractive and feel that it makes the S560 look dated in comparison (I think the pre-facelift W222 S-Class was more attractive). Becoming quite smitten with the 5LS over here, too bad I just leased my 18 GS F-Sport last November, but at least I have something to look forward to once my lease is up.
Based on the amount of body roll the S560 exhibited, it doesn't look like it was fitted with the Magic Body Control system. Slightly unfair to claim in the video that they were testing the most capable versions of each car and not fit the S-Class with that suspension system. I don't think it would have changed the results too dramatically (or maybe it would have, hence the omission), but nevertheless it's a fascinating system to see in action.

The MBC is above and beyond what Lexus offers in the LS. The S Class comes standard with an adaptive air suspension, which is similar to the optional system in the LS. so IMHO the comparison as spec'ed makes sense.

Justin Bell says "it has a 463hp V8 and all of that engineering sophistication Mercedes Benz can bring to bear" and then proceeds to go into how AMCI plays on an unbiased & level playing field. It's a little ironic of a statement to make when it's in fact missing one of the most sophisticated systems in the automotive world, let alone in the Mercedes portfolio.

The flaw in your logic is that the bottom line is he S Class has higher standard equipment and can be equipped more highly than the LS.
The LS with a standard coil suspension is not comparable to an S Class with an air suspension. And an LS with an air suspension is not comparable to an S Class with MBC. The point was to option the cars similarly and see which car handles better.
I would also agree the LS500 should have been compared to the S450. The weight of the V8 actually worked against the S Class in this test IMHO.
