Base LS can't possibly be less expensive than GS F, so it will slot in right under LC at $90k

It's not going to start the same price as the S450.

However, these two share the same engine and a V8, even without turbos, is considerably more expensive than a V6 with two turbos based on cursory knowledge of crate engine costs. Although I admit I have no idea on the costs of Lexus' engines.
But it's no S Class in class and features.

Very smart pricing. I'm encouraged.

This pricing structure could definitely pull customers away from the German brands. I wonder if this will also increase pressure to lower prices on the 2017 LS.

It's always that way when a new car is released. It's so no one press outlet has an advantage.

Price is correct. $15K cheaper than the S Class but only $7K more expensive than the G90. Still doubt it sells any better than the current car after the initial sales surge from the refresh.

It'll be more expensive than that compared to the G90 when you look at equipment. Remember the G90 is fully equipped at its MSRP. The LS will be another $10k easy than base with some options.

In one of these reviews I watched earlier, they said around $100k for the fully loaded version.

I think I heard September 24th as the cutoff date for driving impressions and full reviews, so there should be a lot more content out there soon.

Another informative review. This guy also states that the fully-loaded car will be ~100K and priced lower than the Germans. And the car will go on sale in Feb 2018.
