Hello everyone, It’s been a while. I have been in and out of Hospital dealing with cancer. Anyhow I think my pre-collision sensor is not working! After having minor repairs to my front bumper My pre-collision warnings are no longer occurring. I even tried approaching from behind at a rapid rate of speed and nothing. This is dangerous though I will not recommend. I read somewhere that if it isn’t working it should show up as a warning on the dash. So I am not sure. I tried finding a turn on or off part in the menu or dash listings to no avail. does anyone have any ideas? btw, all the other sensors in the front bumper are working like paking and lane assist. Any ideas?

To turn the Pre-Collision System (PCS) on or off on the Lexus LS500 using the center cluster (Multi-Information Display), follow these steps: Turning PCS Off
Navigate to Settings: Use the arrow buttons on the left side of your steering wheel to scroll through the Multi-Information Display (MID) until you reach the gear icon(settings menu).
Select PCS: Scroll down or over until you highlight "PCS".
Access Sub-menu: Press and hold the "OK" button on the steering wheel until the sub-settings appear.
Disable the System: Select the PCS icon again and press the "OK" button.
Confirm: When a prompt appears asking for confirmation, select "Yes" and press "OK".
Indicator: An amber PCS warning light will illuminate on the dashboard to confirm the system is disabled.
Turning PCS On
Manual Activation: Follow the same navigation steps above, select "PCS," and choose "ON".
Adjusting Sensitivity
While in the PCS settings menu, you can also change the Warning Timing (sensitivity) to "Far," "Middle," or "Near" to control how early the system alerts you to potential hazards.
Darn sorry to hear about your condition, I hope you're on your way to recovery and don't worry about some silly car sensor with more important things to do!
Its very likely they forgot to plug one, or ask of them in when they put the bumper back on. They work fast in those body shops and only really make sure there are no lights on the dash when they give it back to you. Also possible they actually broke them, but that's less possible i think. You may have to take it to the dealer and ask them to check if they are plugged in or not.
I took it to the dealer and the found the issue. It was turned off but the reason I. old not find a way to turn it on was that it was not showing up on the list on the dash computer. He had to hit a secondary prompt for it to come up. Even he could not be sure what he hit. Too many functions!😊 Thanks for the well wishes🙏🏾 i am hoping the new treatment I just completed works as. it should. It can give you a few years of remission.
