That sound isn't bad actually. I would not describe it as buzzy. People who buy this car didn't sign on the dotted line for it's sporting character.

 

It actually sounds more like a rod knocking. I just hated to say that.
Does it enter the cabin thru the speakers?

 

What are we talking about, cold engine thing or the thru the speaker engine because people want to hear it and care is too darn quiet?

It happens when car is in sport plus.
IF it sounds like ****, we might be talking something else?

 

Hate to tell you that this is not normal at all.
Try some top tier fuel like Sunoco 94 Ultra and Royal Purple fuel injector cleaner and see if that clears it up.

 

Ben making the same exact noise at full throttle for the past 25,000 miles. I’m afraid it’s the Japanese idea of what a muscle car sounds like.
