Default Degreaser

What’s the best engine degreaser to use due to lack of pressure washer. I’d like to clean up my donor engine before the install

Your doing an engine swap on a 5th gen LS500 and the only question you have is "what's the best soap to use"? So many questions... I've found, for really junked up stuff I'll mix car wash soap with water, then get a few plastic brushes and soak the oil area and scrub. Scrub and rinse until clean. Old tooth brushes work well too.

Pretty sure he has an 08 LS460, but what the heck, ask about that here on the LS500 sub forum.

Only responding @dan25man because you always try to be so helpful and building our knowledge base until you join the LS500 club.
Still very pleased with mine as I rack up the miles.

Our cars get greasy in the engine???
Might be looking like a French fry machine under that cover, but why go there? LOL

Default No Leaks

Too many electrical connections and stuff I can not even identify under the engine cover. As long as there are no oil leaks on my garage floor I’m happy.
Our ‘02 LS had valve cover gaskets replaced 10 years ago. It’s still pretty clean and doesn’t leak.
