Default What bulb is out for this light?

My 2008 LS460 headlight is starting to flicker and I also noticed that the driver side headlight has a lower yellow light that does not go on compared to the left side. Anyone you know what could be the problem? Ballast or bulb? I was thinking of installing the ballast and bulb kit from Amazon which is pretty affordable for the set up. I have a feeling that many failed HID bulbs are caused from mishandling and putting hand oils or by touching the glass portion which causes the bulb to overheat overtime and fail quicker.

Lower yellow light is out on the driver side. Is this a separate bulb?

You could swap bulbs between left and right. It should tell you which part is causing the issue.

Many members recommend using only brand name bulbs/components from a trusted vendor because of counterfeits and the off brands don't perform and fail prematurely. Another thing to consider is the color temperature of the replacement bulb not matching the opposite headlight. The best way to get a match is to replace both headlights with the same bulb. If one bulb is failing, the other isn't far behind.

I was going to swap out both sides are the same time with the replacement kit for bulb and ballast. The color of the bulb is daylight 6000k. What brand of bulbs are good replacements other than the ones from the dealer?

I'm not sure what bulb fits your year. I've had good luck with Morimoto. Others have suggested OSRAM.
