Default Twisted shifter *****?

I've been starting to eye 2013+ LS460 again because I might decide to step away from my LS430. Looking at those year of LS460 it seems like a lot of them have their shifter know somewhat twisted to the right. Why is that? Are people grabbing ahold of them and twisting them enough that it makes them sit that way permanently?

Just spin it back if it bothers you/is off, it can be removed like the 430s can.

I'm assuming it would would be loose at that point. Maybe they took it off for some reason and it you have to line it up properly to get it on straight?

No it's stupid tight, I do not think you will have any issues. It's tight to the point when I was removing my interior to clean it when I first got the car I had to look it up and make sure there was not a release tap or something I was missing/not aware of since it required a LOT of force.

Cavemen, if a nonaligned shift **** bothers you, it's a personal preference. Like pencils and pens in an exact position on a desk, you can always line it back up. Personally, I'd be checking the things that aren't obvious, like front suspension, braking components. I've never driven a 430 but I understand, it's a change. Hope you find a 460 that is just right for you.

As others have said, they are just loose, just tighten it back straight and all will be as it should.
