He Gerf, would be interested if you have pictures on how you connected wires to your subwoofer? I've been hesitant to do it since I wasn't sure how best to get the subwoofer signal from the ML system. Best, Jeff
Connecting to the existing sub wires under the rear deck like swfla suggested worked fine for me.
I'm gettin too old for this kind of sh^t....with my car under the battery box there is a rubber nipple attached to the grommet for a main harness through the firewall, cut the end off it and you have a perfect fit for a power wire and loom to slide down to the floor with the lower passenger side cover off under the glove box. easy peasy.
Anyway, it works great but I have to tune it somewhat...gains are turned way down but it's too loud so far. Also I took out the pass through thing while the seat was out, might have something to do with the volume haha.
Gonna have a coffee and hit the fart sack, that was a long day.
Nice! Is that a 12” sub? & what kind of amp are you using?
Since you tapped into the existing sub wires for signal, did you disconnect the stock sub?
I’m leaning towards a all in one box 10” & changing out the L & R dash speakers & possibly the 6x9’s in front door speakers w/a 2 or 3 way. I’m wondering how that would sound, being the stock is a woofer. This is obviously for a non ML system.
Im going to keep the stock amp. Just trying to clean up the sound in cabin & add a little low end bass.

Looking to get this done in next couple weeks.
In my old ES w/standard stereo, I installed
Rockford Fosgate P300-10
and two dash replacements. They make a 12" powered sub as well. I suggest you start by upgrading dash speakers, it's easy. The sub was pretty easy too. Hardest part was running a heavy 12v cable to battery. Give this setup a try before pulling off door panels. You may find (like I did) that this was all that's needed to make a big difference in overall sound. I have my sub sitting in a closet and would consider selling it to you. Just message me if interested.

I was looking into that model, & just came across a Focal brand 8” in band pass.
I’m not looking for the extreme rear view mirror shaking bass.
Are you using the LC2i vs a $20 loc so you can fine tune the bass?
Yes, the one in the first post. You have alot of control with that little box, I ended up as suggested in the instructions lowering the accu bass and putting the threshold almost full blast and then adjusting the accu bass so I could listen at higher volumes otherwise it was way too much bass. had to play with the settings on the amp as well.

I’m leaning towards a 10” sealed all in one w/ bass ****.
You think that’s good enough to turn down the bass, or should I get what you have?
I’m not looking for bone crushing, rear view mirror shaking bass (been there done that 20 yrs ago).

I think as long as there is quality involved, they all do the same job basically. listen to a few and get the stuff you like(unless it's an amazon purchase)
On mine the add on **** only controls the gain/volume, not the accubass, bass or threshold....they could all control the same function from different areas for all I know.

In my 2013, I replaced my front speakers with a Morel 3-way set and the rear speakers with Morel point source coaxial speakers using a Helix amplifier/DSP. 2-12" audiofrog subwoofers for the subs. Properly tuned, it sounds phenomenal.

is yours a premium or ML?
Did you replace all front speakers, all 3 in dash & 2 in front doors?
Lastly, are all the Morels are powered w/ the Helix?

I think I’m going to get the get the same LOC as you.
Do you mind sharing a final pic showing how the LOC looks wired up along w/ your amp? I’m looking to see how you got the power and 12v piggybacked to your amp.
