I recently purchased a 2010 LS460L freshly imported into the United Arab Emirates. The car is absolutely brilliant but the infotainment system is all in Japanese with no option to change the language. I still managed to go through the menu's using Google Live Translate and it seems the car has almost no vehicle options, even though the car is fully loaded with all features except for radar cruise. There is also no bluetooth audio under the audio sources even though the 2010 got the upgraded head unit with bluetooth audio streaming and not just phone calls

I had an LS460 2007 before and there were many options like headlight sensitivity, interior exterior lights time off duration and it even had calender and many other features. But mine doesn't show any of those options, just a couple like turning the touch beep sound on or off. Is the japanese infotainment less advanced and is it something that can be fixed by switching the whole headunit to US or Gulf spec (which I plan to do anyway because of the language issues)

Also, does anyone know if I change just the front headunit, does it impact the rear screens feautures as well or do I have to get it changed separately? The rear language is mostly in english but Japanese for some menu's.
