I'm in AZ. I've done a lot of business at the upholstery shop that recovered these. The owner only agreed to recover them, not remove or install the panels. The large door panels can be removed fairly quickly. However there are around a dozen small Phillip's screws that hold on each arm rest. They take a while to locate and remove, easy but tedious. I think the reason most places don't want to mess with these is the danger of damaging the door panel. I did crack the wood trim on one door panel years ago when replacing the drivers window glass.
