Default Rear wheel - Upper control arms

I am trying to replace my rear upper control arms and I am having trouble breaking loose the ball joints, see attached photos for reference. I tried using a hammer as well as a 3/4 inch ball joint separator, see photo for reference, to break loose the ball joint in the red rectangle but have been unsuccessful. Has anyone replaced these arms before and do you have any tips? Thanks in advance!

Rear control arms rarely fail. Do you have reason to replace the arms?

I tried removing the arms as preventive measure but had the same issue you do. Have you tried Pitman arm puller (OTC 8149 or 8150) or a C-frame?

Replacing them with adjustable arms to correct negative camber after lowering vehicle. I have not tried either. Were you able to remove your arms using either of the tools you mentioned?

I was able to remove only front ones, rear ones did not move. I am so not looking forward to replace those.

What did you use to remove the rear wheel - front control arm?

I believe he was referring to the front uppers (front of the car control arms). You may have better luck wih one of these below, if it will fit in there. I used them on all 4 of my front uppers and the lower rearward arm. Can often be rented at Advance, Auto Zone, etc.

Sorry for the confusion in my post I am only referring to the control arms in the rear of the vehicle. I have already replaced 8 control arms up front.
