LS600h L purchase questions
Hi:
Thinking about purchasing a LS600h L with close to 150k miles. One owner, dealer serviced. Want opions on extended warrantees (which are the best, should I get one or just save the money). I want to own the vehicle, and am prepared for the eventual battery failure (although they seem to be rare). Is an extended warranty worth it for the possible brake actuator failure and control arm failure? Thanks!

Given its mileage, you may have a hard time even buying one.
I assumed a CNA warranty upon my 600 acquisition last year from a private party. It is their most comprehensive and excludes little. It even covers the hybrid battery. It paid over $1800 (my deductible was $200) to replace a bad air strut last September at 82,000 miles.
With the complexity of the 600, I would not have purchased the car without it.

Thanks for your reply. I did get quotes from edurance, carchex, and a couple from the dealer. Seems the cutoff is 150k miles and this car has 149k miles.
Looks like I will do some research and get the warranty if possible. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Again. Researching CNA. Seems it can only be offered through a dealer, not directly to an individual. Surprised to see it covers the hybrid battery as none of the other companies do. Still researching, thanks for the reccomendation.

That seems to be the case. The one on mine was purchased through a GM dealer in Georgia, but they no longer sell them. Suggest you call CNA directly to see if they will provide participating dealer name(s).
