Quick radiator question about the foam on top
I'm reading that the new radiator will not come with the foam on top. I have 2 questions:
1. What is that foam for?
2. Is it a must have?

It’s there to help direct airflow. Maybe it helps attenuate the acoustic profile a little bit. It’s not critical to anything. If it bothers you enough, you can pick up some weatherstripping at a hardware store to compensate, but really it’s not a big deal
