Anyone in North Carolina? Will pay to have you check out a vehicle for me
Hi all,
Looking at an LS460 in Greensboro, NC but unfortunately am all the way up in the New York area. Car looks nice in photos but as we all know there is no substitute for seeing one in person. Would give me a lot of peace of mind to have a fellow enthusiast put their eyes on it before I pull the trigger. Of course, happy to pay you for your time. Message me if interested.

If you can't find anybody. Ask the seller bring the car to the closest Lexus dealership for inspection. I know, it is not the best but better than nothing.

Nate, ask the owner if a deposit to hold the car if he is open to bringing the car in for you to a lexus dealer local and u pay the 100 bucks for inspection.
this way the owner is comfy you have a deposit down to do it
good luck
also make sure when Its inspected to check the paint thickness that the car panels were not painted... that's a 3500 hit in negative equity if it was painted... a must on every used car purchase in my house

Thanks guys, agree with you but this one is for sale at a non-Lexus dealership so not sure they would be amenable to taking it over to Lexus.
For context, it is a low mileage 2017 that’s always been dealer serviced and I’ll be buying an extended warranty on it through Lexus. The paint issue, like you mentioned is probably my biggest fear. It has a clean carfax and I don’t see any obvious paint mismatches in photos...but that alone doesn’t really give me comfort.
Probably doesn’t hurt to post over on the detailing forums as well, maybe someone could bring paint meter to look at it.

car department at the dealer can do the paint check as well if your nice to them on phone and offer a pizza,

If none of those suggestions work you can always try using Lemonsquad (https://lemonsquad.com)

I used them eight times on my search for my current IS250. The only issue I've had is they have no time guarantee they just give best effort. That means I lost out on two cars because by the time they showed up and then generated the report the car was sold. You do need to ask them for special requests like "smoke odor" or "are the dash panels sticky".

Hi tried to message you but think you need a few posts first before you can receive messages. Very much appreciate the offer to take a look for me, but another member in Greensboro offered to go today. If he can't get out there for some reason I'll let you know. Always amazed at the depth of knowledge and generosity of these forums.
