My VMware is using XP but my dedicated old Lenevo is running W7. Lots of ppl are using this with W10 also, not just in this forum but across lots of other Toyota forums. I stayed with V10 because V12 at the time had some menus missing. Most cheap cables come with firmware V1.4.1 the better cables which are more expensive come with V2.0.4 which will allow you to do more things. I have V1.4 which allows you to do most everything that you would want to do. It's funny though, the only thing it would not allow me to do was register new TPMS sensors. It kept giving me errors.
I gave up with the China cables and using virtual desktop and just bought the Mongoose toyota cable. Works with Windows 10 and does all TPMS stuff without errors like the early cheap cables

That's my next step. I want to buy one of those bluetooth scanner ones. Does anyone have any experience with these?
