When spark plugs are changed in an LS, what else should be done ?

I would go as high 100k. You should at least replace spark plug grommets. As a preventive maintenance, replace gaskets and o-rings around the fuel pumps and valve cover. Fuel pumps are know to develop oil leaks if not serviced periodically.
