Hello, just bought my 2015 lexus ls460 f sport. Love it! The only thing im not pleased with is this. When i open any door the overhead dome light does not come on. The little puddle light on the door does, but not the dome. If i switch the setting to "on" it turns on, so it does light up, but setting it to "door" does not work. Is this correct, or is it maybe a door switch? It doesnt come on with any door opened btw. Thanks!

ya, i know. Its on door. It doesnt open with the door. Hence the question.

 

Does the "door open" indication show in the instrument cluster when the doors are opened?

Sorry I don’t have a lot to offer. I’ve watched this forum for more than 10 years and I don’t think there has been another report like yours.

One thing you might try is, with the engine off, and one of the doors open, check to see that the “door open” is indicated in the instrument cluster, and vigorously operate the door/dome enable switch in the overhead cluster through several cycles to see if the dome lights ever come on.
