Default 2009 LS460 AWD Broken trust mount

Hello everyone

I have 2009 Lexus LS460 AWD With A problem in the Front Left Air suspension KYB 48020-50260. Replacement part 48020-50262
the vehicle VIN # JTHCL46F695001188

the front driver side air suspension have a broken mounting part.
When I removed the engine strut cap, I can see the attachment peace (looks normal)
when I lift the vehicle, the suspension with the tire goes down , the whole thing is not attached to the car body from Top.
the suspension air system is working fine. except the noises and safety problems but I decided to park it in the garage until I find the best solution.

My Mechanic wants me to replace the whole strut assembly. But I would like to repair it if that possible, I search it online and found the right part (If fixable ) I found mounting kits only. But all sellers don’t guarantee.
So I’m not sure what to buy or to do at this point.

is there any repair option for this problem?
I don’t really want to replace One suspension out of 4 since it’s the same mileage and performance on all of them. It’s working fine and the height level is aligned perfectly.

please advice
thanks.

hi
i assume you are talking about the strut mount, what in normal non air set up will be a strut mount in the air is one piece with the rest of the strut. Check my thread about my air to non air to see pics to confirm. The issue with our air struts is design, so the strut mount is attached to the strut only by rubber and no mechanical means what so ever. So when the rubber fails you can have a disaster on your hands. I really don’t think any other major brands do it like that, it is very odd.

you can see photos from here how it might be possible to Jerry rig a strut mount:

If the air suspension is working correctly the noise is probably control arms rather than the strut itself.

If the strut is bad it's safe to say the air suspension would not be working properly.
