Question Brake fluid flush

Has anybody performed brake fluid flush? If so, can you direct me to a thread or provide some guidance on how to do it properly?

You'll need techstream to do it properly. If you attempt to bleed them without it you'll need techstream to clear the faults and start over.

If your only looking to refresh the fluid you can use a turkey baster to suck fluid out of the resevoir and pour fresh fluid in. The resevoir holds quite a bit. In a few months do it again, ect. Its less complicated to refresh it this way.

Thanks! I am aware that I need Techstream, I got it a while ago. What specifically do you have to do in Techstream to flush the fluid?

Your welcome. Here you go.
I used this tutorial when I replaced the actuator and motor assembly. I followed the steps as they were written.Technical Service Bulletin # SB0069-09

Date: 090602

Brakes - Squawk Noise From The Brake Actuator

L-SB-0069-09

It is also the method for bleeding the brakes if they are making abnormal noises or air is in the system.. The guide is pretty straight forward. If I remember correctly It has you skip steps if your not replacing any parts. It's important to point out to follow the instructions and bleed them in the order as specified. You can't just pick which wheel to do first, second, third, ect. The computer only opens the specific port for each step. This is especially important for the rear brakes. You'll also need 2 people. I had my helper sit in the front seat. If you open and close the door it can mess up the process.

Here is a link to the Technical Service Bulletin # SB0069-09
Click next on each page to progress to the next steps. I suggest printing these out as bouncing back and fourth from techstream and the website on my laptop got confusing.

It will be clear in the instructions but for others reading this the rear brakes you do not bleed by pumping the brake pedal.

I checked out the instructions. I will need to figure out if I want to do that or ask Lexus. I don't have a lot of free time and something like brake fluid flush is not that expensive ($195). I already purchased Lexus brake fluid. I was wondering how much it is in labor.

Lexus offered transfer case flush for just $120, I was wondering what kind of fluid they are using. LL80 is around $170 per quart.
