Problem with fan 2... drivers side engine cooling fan
Tried a few things, friend used a odb thing to turn on and test the fan, passenger side fan works, drivers side fan will not turn on, engine over heated by a few notches above middle the other day, I stopped the car, coolant level is steady so can’t be a leak or water pump.
I see relays and fuses for fan 1 I do not see relays and fuses for fan 2. Also engine compartment fuse box 1 closer to the battery does not seem to be a typical fuse set up but rather some weird looking thing that is just metal fuse looking things you cannot seem to remove them etc, what am I looking at.
other than the engine compartment fuses which removable fuses I’ve checked , relays I don’t know which ones relate to fan 2.. some insight would be great. I’ve looked through the list of relays in the trunk and I see something about fans but no idea what fans are these can anyone help?
17 RATT FAN 20 A Ffartrir. cooling fan
18 B-FAN RLY 5 A Electric cooling fan
thanks guys

Check the actual fan motor to see if it's dead, wire it directly to 12v and give it push by hand to overcome starting TQ resistance if it doesn't start on its own. If you can't get it to run it's the actual motor, easier to start there vs chasing harness issues that likely are not the issue
So I had the passenger side fan which I think is the no 1 engine fan repaired I. Kyiv when I was on my way to Odessa while I wait for 25-30 Euros, I think what they did was change out the motor magnetic brushes. Took an hour or so problem never came back, car stays nicely in the middle and never moved an iota past the middle even on the hottest days in Odessa so I consider the problem fixed.
the problem in North America is the throw away culture, so in grained that hardly anyone knows how to fix anything, also labour rates are so high it hardly makes any financial sense TO fix something. Having said that if I lived in North America I would work on my own cars. Once I build my own place here I would also start doing that. But in the interim it is nice to be able to find people who can fix things, also had my starter relay replaced with oem parts for 100+ usd not including labour or taking it on and off.

. Keep an eye on it just in case it fails.
