$$$ Height compressor replacement
As stated there is not much you can do about the costs of a vehicle of this tier, any flagship from any brand will be pricy when it needs something. If that's not a reality you are willing to pay for as a cost for owning this type of car then you may want to fix it anyway, sell it via private sale, and move to a Camry with a 4cyl for the least possible headache and parts costs.
EDIT: btw there is nothing wrong with deciding a flagship isn't right for you, if it's not a priority or worth it then don't feel bad shifting to something else. I opted for a older LS myself instead of a 460 since I didn't want to have to fix my daily as often as I would need to with a 4th gen.

This is $1000ish and will work, if you can change it yourself it's the cheapest way to retain stock function. Will likely be louder than stock/OE but is better than rigging up a random aftermarket setup that requires a lot of time to setup. Biggest plus is that if it fails you get a new one for free provided you didn't smash it with a hammer or something along those lines. I've never had to use one for a Lexus but I've yet to have an issue with anything from this brand for the German cars and no owner complaints yet over ride quality so I think it will be okay.

Here's another option as was mentioned, a used one. $475:

If you're going to trade/sell the car, I would go this route. 2 hours of labor even at $100 an hour for an independent means you're fixed for $700.

To put in my two cents worth here. If you buy an expensive luxury car you should be aware, in advance, that parts and repairs are going to be expensive. The old saying that "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it" is something to keep in mind. Don't extend yourself that much with your next purchase.
Tiffany, something lost along the way. Have you filed a comprehensive claim with your insurance company? The dealer has explicitly stated(if I remember correctly) that's it's not a mechanical defect, but was caused by 'flooding'.
You might have to escalate a bit, depending on what insurance you have, but don't overlook that channel.
In a nutshell... repair cost hurt you, but there's no reason to think this will happen in the near-term again...and definitely cheaper than taking the depreciation hit and buying another car you may have other problems with....and you have a great car.
Pursue each of these and see which one provides the best solution for you...
1. Dealer repair with Lexus covering all or part of part cost as goodwill given the low mileage and no hurricanes in your area....it's been 107F in Texas, and I'm not sure what rain is.
2. Independent Repair - Tell us your city or start another thread, and we can point you to an independent, but parts costs will not reduce total cost too much.
3. File claim with insurance company...nothing to lose. No surcharge for a comprehensive claim and unless you've filed a lot of little stuff in the past, no impact on your insurability.
4. Sell the car at a significant loss, and still have to get another car...with it's own issues. (granted new warranty would mitigate some of that.)

I have a 2016 LS F Sport with just under 23,000 miles. I notice about a week ago my front end seemed a little low. I thought nothing of it until a few days ago when I pulled into my driveway, which is on an incline, and the front bumper scraped the ground. Just yesterday the “check air suspension” message finally popped up. I will be taking it to the dealer in the morning. My manufacturer’s warranty expired in February but I am currently under my CPO warranty so I will see what’s happens and update.

It’s just one failure. The sky is not falling.
