What do you think about this 2015 LS?
Hey guys,
I had 2006 GS and 2010 HS250H. I want to buy my dream car and found this one at an Audi dealer. It has all available options including air suspension with low mileage; however, the warranty is already expired. What do you guys think about it? Anything I need to look out for and how much should I offer? https://www.audigrapevine.com/used/L...81a11dcc13.htm Thanks in advance |
That’s a pretty rare car, UL in a SWB, low miles...

Nice car. I have the 2013 version. The trunk is smaller than other LS 460 because it's short wheel base with another air conditioner in the trunk area for the rear seats. That's the only downside to it. All the other features are really super nice and top of the line. The back seat features are over the top to pay extra for unless you're driving other people around. So, I'd buy it if you can get a price you're comfortable with after checking for service records (there won't be many because of low miles) and accidents/bodywork. If everything is good, Seems a bit high as there may be some nice 2013 cars around for $25k with mileage under 75k if you're in no hurry.

Being a black car in general, but especially in southern regions, I would make sure the paint (particularly on the hood, roof, & trunk) is in good condition and not oxidized. Dealerships often use 2 and 3-step buff/polish techniques to make bad paint look good. See below as I did when I first got my '07 last year. That #7 photo of the car head on looks like a lot of fingerprints, but also looks like some imperfections, chips, swirl marks, etc. Cannot really tell but should warrant closer inspection.

The Lexus dealer took the "Lexus" badge off the back and replaced it with the name of their dealership?

Assuming that the car checks out to your satisfaction, it is worth paying a premium given its very low mileage. Personally, I would pay up to the present asking price. Suggest you start at 34 or 35K. The 2 tone interior makes for a nice contrast. It would have stickered for around $90,000 new.
As indicated by an earlier poster, a short wheelbase with the Ultra Luxury option is rare, even more so here being a rear wheel drive. You could look long and hard before finding another. |

Lexus vehicles in the US don't have a "Lexus" badge in that spot, its just an empty space here. Been that way since 2011.

Thank you guys. I have to check it out in person.

That's my favorite configuration as well, as stated go look at it in person and very carefully inspect the paint on the front in particular to make sure it's up to your standards for what you expect out of the car.

So, if this is your unicorn, buy it. I haven't had time to look at pricing, but KBB will give you an idea. Low mileage, and pretty much all options. Just keep in mind the 2015 like the 2013-2014 have permanent split monitor screen. Oh and as for the dealer name on the back, try something I did once. I told the dealership, I'd be happy to keep their logo on my car provided, they pay me $100 per month for as long as I own the car for mobile advertising. Guess what, they happily removed it.

Those logos are very easy to remove yourself
