The design of the upper control arms is still basically exactly the same to my understanding as the 2010-2011 redesign, it is just the 2013's had less miles on them so not as many issues coming up yet.
Only one problem after 13 years/ 4 vehicles I think is good. My TMS has destroyed 4 upper control arms in 5 years and suspension parts for $12000.

Personally, I think these control arm concerns are way overblown. Its a sophisticated flagship luxury car, and having suspension repairs is not an unreasonable or unexpected thing. The control arms were revised, and 13-17 cars have much fewer issues with them. Every Lexus I have owned past 50k miles though has required suspension work, including my LS400, LS430 and ES300...and that suspension work was a 4 figure job. A lot of it depends on where you drive and how you drive, how bad your roads are, etc.

If you're concerned about some suspension work as they get higher mileage, you just shouldn't be buying this sort of car.

Lots of the parts are just rubber wear parts, too.

I replaced LCA bushings in 2014, big deal. IDR how much it was but there's not been a problem since.

Magic carpet ride still 100% intact. Even when bushings were "out" the car would just clunk when turning into an elevated driveway for example.

Yes, any 2010+ LS460 looks great and has and will continue to age very well. Hell, all LS models age well.

The last of the 460s are just so gorgeous to me now (I used to prefer the '10-'12's looks, too) especially because I hate the new one including the way it looks.

It has grown on me too, but not by very much. But, a little.

There is one rim design that looks good in my eye, I want to say it's a 10 spoke design similar to the base wheels on the LC?

It looks decent with those rims.
