My cars heater starts to only work when car is driving then started overheating coolant was low filled her back up back to normal. NOW IT HAS TO BE REFILLED AROUND 5 weeks. Have the cooling system pressure tested........ This is the only way to see if the system is leaking.
You can buy a pressure tester and do it yourself or you can take it to a shop..... A very simple "non invasive" test.

Given the mileage of the car I would suggest having a complete cooling system service performed on the car with a proper "vacuum fill" to make sure there is no air in the system....... Your local Lexus or Toyota dealer can do this.

TIP! Get rid of that K&N air filter......... You will thank me later!
