Airbag code B1 866?
I have searched google and the forums and cannot find what this code means. I had 3 codes when i bought the car. 2 pointed ot the clock spring, which I knew needed replaced as none of the buttons on the steering wheel, including the horn, worked. I just changed the clock spring and reset the codes, and the code B1 866 is back. Any one have access to the service manual to see what is causing it?
Ok, A friend that works for Lexus got the info for me.
B1 865/65 = Receives a line short circuit 5 times in the passenger side knee airbag circuit during the primary check, Squib malfunction in the passenger side Knee airbag, and center airbag sensor malfunction.
B1 866/66 = Open in the passenger side knee airbag circuit or 2 seconds, Squib malfunction in the passenger side Knee airbag, and center airbag sensor malfunction.
B1 867/67 = Short circuit to ground in the passenger side knee airbag circuit for 0.5 seconds, Squib malfunction in the passenger side Knee airbag, center airbag sensor malfunction.
B1 868/68 = Short circuit to B+ in the passenger side knee airbag circuit for 0.5 seconds, Squib malfunction in the passenger side Knee airbag, and center airbag sensor malfunction.
All of these can be caused by "Instrument panel wire", "Front passenger side knee airbag assembly (Front passenger side knee squib)", or "Center airbag sensor assembly"
