Remove small light above sun visor
Hi all. I'm on yet another rattle hunt. This one is between the headliner and the roof, about 2-3 inches left of the light above the visor. Does anybody know the best way to get in there to insert some foam? Does the light pop out, or do I need to detach the headliner from either the windshield or the sunroof? My best guess is it's the wires to the light itself are hitting the metal roof. (2015 LS)
A short while back I heard a rattle/buzz that I thought might be from the dash - or something falling between the front window and cowl.
Drove me nuts - went a long road trip and at certain speeds- a minor buzz that made my LUXO Lexus a cheap car.
Took it to one dealer - they heard it - and scheduled a service appointment to start tearing into it.
Drove out of town to visit a friend - decided to stop at the local LEXUS dealer - took it in - gave me a loaner for the day.
Turns out the sliding cover on the vanity mirror in the sun-visor wasn't fully closed - there is a bit on a snap to it.
Problem solved.....
Bank vault LEXUS restored....and my sanity!

Unfortunately my car has had a few rattles that I've had to track down. This current one above the visor has been elusive because I also had an occasional rattle from the grab handle. Once I fixed the grab handle I was able to pinpoint where the remaining rattle is. I can duplicate it by pushing the headliner a couple inches left of the vanity light.
Speaking of rattles, I drove my 2001 Acura TL today; and sitting outside for a year and half has not been kind to it. It has more squeaks and rattles than I can stand now.
