MOTOR MOUNTS, again.....
So with now 120,000 miles on my 07 my mechanic tells me my motor mounts while not shot now are showing signs of wear and will need to be replaced.
He says the motor needs to be disconnected in many areas to allow the motor to be lifted to replace the mounts, many hours of labor
so surely some of you have dealt with this issue, anyone help me out with what it costs, have dealer do it or your own mechanic, what mileage?
thanks!

to me, "showing signs of wear" is not something to worry about. if anything, get a second opinion from another indy shop. the dealer is going to be way overpriced, so don't even waste your time with that
if you want, open your hood and have a friend rev the car to 3-4 thousand rpm. if the engine is severely shaking, the mounts are bad. if it's not really moving, they're fine. if you want a reference, look up some youtube videos of bad engine mounts. there will be plenty of examples of how to tell if they're bad
