Default Chipped Windshield at Dealer...

Nothing is ever easy !!

I went to go pick up my car from Jim Falk Lexus in Beverly Hills last night and noticed, while my car was there for 7 days having a new dashboard, there is now a chip in my windshield.

Good thing I took photos of the windshield before dropping it off.

Waiting to see what they are going to do

If it's a small chip it may be repairable. Otherwise the windshield will have to be replaced.

Is the chip near the speaker covers? I've removed my dash like 5 times in the last 3 weeks and was constantly hitting the windshield with the ratchet even though I knew to be careful. The bolts closest to the windshield should be removed with a 10 mm wrench but you can use a ratchet in the ones closer to the interior of the car and when you pull the ratchet up the windshield is right there.

No, the chip is near the center, lower part of the windshield by the vents in the dash. The dealer is going to replace the windshield
