No difference. Thats the whole point, it replicates a heavier throttle input than you are applying down low in the power band. So, the car feels peppier and more responsive to throttle inputs. Its the same thing that happens when you put the car in Sport mode, or ECT PWR if you have an older LS460. In fact, if I could separate the suspension setting and the throttle setting I wouldn't need it.
Here's an example of the differences in throttle mapping:
It hasn't, no issue with low speed throttle adjustments or anything really like that.
So why wouldn’t I just stomp on the gas more rather than spending hundreds of dollars on a box to do it for me? Is there anything this box does that isn’t replicated by simply being aggressive on the gas?
What about throttle lag? Does it fix that? Today was probably the first time since I got the LS 18 months ago that I really wanted it to move quickly from stops, and no matter what I did it always lagged. I put it in S/S+ mode, floored the pedal, etc. Too much lag for that kind of very aggressive driving.

You can do that, but the net result is going to be the car isn't going to feel as responsive off the line or as effortless of the line as it does when the throttle curve is adapted. Its the same thing the Sport or ECT PWR mode does.
Its like saying why do I need a sharper knife when the dull knife I have works when I just push harder?
I just leave it in PWR mode... sounds similar. Cool mod.
Its very similar, I can't do that on my year LS though because I would loose the comfort suspension mode. Thats the whole point, if I could separate the suspension mode and the throttle mode like you can on the 07-12 LS I wouldnt need this mod. If I didnt have the air suspension I wouldnt need it either.
I just bought a Pedal Commander for my newly purchased 2010 Ls 460. I am not a mechanic, by any means, but I can follow directions. Are there any posted instructions how to access the throttle sensor on the gas pedal?
Seems like it is up underneath the dash. Seems a bit more complicated than a plug and play deal. Any helpful hints how to access and install the PC? Website was useless.
It’s plug and play, the positioning of the plug is just a PITA, you just have to crane your hand up there and find the plug.
Steve, I just wanted to say thank you for being so helpful to all of us here on the forum. Chris, (Road frog) was always helpful to us when he was here all the time and you are the same way. Thanks Man. Great job.

I ageee having both 2007-2012 and 2013+ LS. I prefer to have some sort of separate ECT button for throttle. I don’t like to stiffen my suspension each time and I feel it’s faster for me to hit ECT than to switch the **** twice to to reach sport +. This mod resolves it for the 2013+ models.
I also installed a pedal commander last summer on my 15 Ls i love it the extra pep in comfort mode is supreme previously i owned a rcf and i think I got used to that lil pep on take off the pedal commander got rid of that lil lag
I am thinking about ordering the Pedal Commander. Does anybody who has owned one for a while have any additional thoughts on how they like or don't like it?

I have an '07 LWB, and when doing 0-60 and 1/4 mile runs with the Dragy GPS/app, I have VSC and Traction Control turned off and the Power ECT on. I have to turn the Pedal Commander off or else there's way too much wheel spin on launch. Power ECT ON holds the gear shifts longer (to between 6300-6500rpm) but does little, if anything, to increase the sensitivity of the fly-by-wire throttle. Regardless, the Pedal Commander blows away the Power ECT on with regards to throttle sensitivity.
If you know what a potentiometer is, the Pedal Commander is similar in the way it operates. If I was told I could not spend more than $300 and only on one mod alone, I would choose the Pedal Commander without hesitation. Pair this with the Red Bullets, and I'm pretty sure you'll have a difficult time wiping that grin off your face. I installed it on the left side of the steering wheel so it wouldn't be so visible.
