Default Bye to the LS

Hey all, long time no post for me!
I always check back from
time to see who posting from when I was a frequent poster/contributor, and see how my buddies are coming along... Chris, Steve, Double, *****, Tee, JITTY and a good few others. This forum is second to none in my humble opinion.
Anyway, I’m posting because as of last Saturday, I traded in my 07 L. No problems and by far the best car I’ve ever owned. I absolutely loved the car but just had an itch for something newer.
The few things:
-Rattle somewhere in the front end suspension (no one could ever figure out what it was)
-Needed new tires soon (Cinturato pluses were excellent)!
-Car was starting to consume a little oil (125+ on the odo)
That’s it!
I owned it for 4 years and 4 months. Again-excellent car and I will definitely go back.
I traded it in for a just off lease ‘16 CPO Audi A8 L 3.0T. It’s a tech laden simply beautiful car on the inside. But make no mistake about it, after living with it for almost a week, even in comparison to my 12 year old Lexus, the ride is nice.. but it’s not an LS.
Ill still be here from time to time, and thank you to everyone who made and makes this place so special.

Congrats on the A8, always had a soft spot for A8's particularly their interior designs though I don't care for the brand new one out now at all.

It is a car I would consider getting a extended warranty for though if you can find a fairly affordable one.

Crowe!! Long time indeed! I really enjoyed the banter we shared among those you mentioned (and others).

Like you, I too moved on. A '17 SHO which I am really loving. I wish you much luck with your A8. A truly beautiful car. If I was to ever go back to a German Marque, an Audi would be it.

I am frequenting the forum here as well. The SHO forums are BORING. Not at all the same type of crowd either. I miss the exchanges here. Very fond memories.

We are going to need to hear about the A8. It was the car I was considering most recently. Give us some comparisons. Especially what tech it has.

That's awesome congrats! Any pics of the A8? I've been trying to set myself up so I can start leasing these things (maybe a CPO lease if available) and would be interested in knowing how you like your A8 compared to your LS. Enjoy!

Pump the brakes my Man. You said, "Better than the LS". HUSH YO MOUF !!!

I've driven the new A8 a couple times, obviously the interior, technology, etc are better than the LS460, without the high end suspension options though (which are very rare) it doesn't ride any better than the LS though.

I just don't see it. I've driven them all back to back, and from a RIDE perspective I think the LS460L (at least, my last year LS460L I can't speak to older or pre-refresh cars) is very similar. I have never driven an S Class with MBC or an A8 with their similar system, but when comparing regular air suspension S Classes and A8s to an air suspension LS460L. I would say both are slightly better, being newer and having newer stiffer chassis, but its not a big difference in any way.

Just a few weeks ago drove my colleagues S550 100 miles and then got right back into my LS460L.
