Another TPMS Story...
So I put my winter wheels on around Thanksgiving, and the readout on my spare has been wonky ever since. Would come on sometimes, show dashes other times. Since it was just the spare it didn't bother me too much. Or it didn't until the warnings lights came on stayed on due to low pressure. I topped off the pressure, and no change. Took me a bit to figure out what was going on--the car had the ID for one of the other four (summer) wheels, which are stored in the garage. Evidently the dealer swapped one of the wheels for the spare when a customer hit a curb, and didn't update the sensor IDs positions.
So, mystery solved. I had to stop by a tire shop to have them read the sensor ID from the spare. (Even though I know all the IDs, I don't know which wheel has which ID).

No, it doesn't snow enough here in Southern Idaho that everybody needs snow tires. But if you ski or take winter road trips it's worth the cost. We do also get the occasional crazy dumping of snow. For me I just like having the softer rubber for better grip in cold conditions even when there's no snow.
